Dance for Climate Action – Kuwadzana Greening Project

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we as Black Crystal strive to encourage and support individuals in the environmental field achieve their goals. Glass for Africa and Miracle Missions have been some of the projects that we as Black Crystal have supported. Over the last couple of months, Black Crystal has been interacting with a young group of individuals who aim to create a healthy, beautiful, environmentally friendly and ecologically stable Kuwadzana. This group is known as the Greening Kuwadzana Project led by Tafadzwa Gwini. Their primary goal is to boost their community’s aesthetics, health and cleanliness by planting trees throughout the area and they do this by targeting public offices, schools, colleges, churches, people with disabilities, women, men , boys and girls, thus aiming to raise awareness about environmental conservation and climate literacy.

On the 22nd of July 2024, Black Crystal Consulting participated in the Dance for Climate Action event that took place at Zvinavashe Gardens in Kuwadzana. It was a vibrant event beaming with joyful people, young, old and from all facets of life. The main purpose of the event was to spread awareness on issues to do with the climate in a way that is fun and interactive for the community to take part in.

The event consisted of poetry, music performances, acting skits and in all of that -networking. It was quite a successful event and as Black Crystal Consulting, we are more than proud to have walked with this group and we wish them well in their endeavors.
